Fantastic Concert
One of the best concerts I have been to recently was last nite at the Rogue Valley Theatre...Montrose played all his best old stuff & his guitar sounded amazing. We sat in about the 5th row, next to the aisle-great view-tons of people in front of the stage-Its a small venue but it felt like there were thousands there. The sounds were so loud-the acoustics so good-my ears are still ringing 24 hours later-wow. The new lead singer Ronnie had was very good-I was impressed. When we first went in we were told hang on to our ticket stubs cause there was a raffle drawing for a guitar autographed by Ronnie himself so that was also exciting. My friend from work was there-& I was able to spot her & say hi real quick,my bofriend was in a hurry to get a good seat. We were on our feet from the first lick to the end 2 hours later-my hair was soaked with sweat-wheeeee! Got some good pix too. Then at the end...the raffle & unbelievabley-WE WON!!! A brand new guitar with fucking RONNIE MONTROSE autograph all over it-and a signed pix of him too! Just the most exciting thing to happen to us in...oh ,ever, I think! It will supposedly be delivered in 10 days ... unless it was a dream-heh! Just fucking fantastic I say-we are sooooo lucky-if you can get to see this guy-well-he is as great as he ever was-dont miss a chance to go. And our tickets were only $20 each-oldtime prices for sure. I am so excited to see the guitar-I still can't believe it.

Lisa - Gopher Queen
Sooooo, it looks like once a year is all I am good for, for now...hopefully someday in the future I will post more often. In the time that I have right now though, I want to pay another tribute to another member of my family who is gone. Lisa Marie, Gopher Queen, loveable, gentle, low maintenance dog of the ripe old age of approximately 17 years wandered off a week ago & never returned. We have looked & looked to no avail, & I am sure now she is waiting for us in the clearing at the end of the path, happiness & youth on her face, tail wagging, everything about her saying "lets go! run up over the hill & jump in the pond with me!!" She never learned to fetch a stick, nor did she ever show anything but lovingkindness to her human family. She could dig out & eat a gopher in minutes, & once she killed a baby raccoon...oops! She was white & covered in black spots & gave birth to over 60 pups before we finally got her spayed. She was a very good dog. We kept one of her last litter-her name is Timber. I wanted so much for her to die near us,warm & loved but it was not meant to be,even at the end she was low maintenance. We shall love & miss & remember her forever.

Dirty Laundry
Well its been almost a year since I posted last...so much has gone under the bridge & so where do I start...life gets in the way sometimes when there are very important things to talk about. Last summer, fall,&winter I watched in awe while Iranians all over the world united on Twitter-causing such change & passion I was overwhelmed. They made me proud of this human race we all share. Christmas'09 was the best ever, I was able to gift 27 people & it was a great feeling to put so many smiles on so many faces. How lucky I am to be able to do that. The job I have now is the best paying job I have ever had, I know what it is to live long term in poverty & so I have the most appreciation for my work & how it has lifted me up in so many ways. In December also I learned exactly how horrible the government in Iran really is, that good people who only want to speak their opinion can be declared "against god " & given the death penalty-there is no logic to this way of thinking. The powers that be in Iran sicken me. I am sure that eventually Iran will be free-the people there are too intelligent & sensitive both to their own history & the way the world is now to ever settle for anything less than complete freedom. I will be with them in spirit all the way. The 1 year anniversary is coming up-the never to be forgotten feelings of that time I remember so well-what a testimony to human endurance, unbelievably moving. This spring things have mellowed a bit on #iranelection but the continued march towards freedom has not stopped. I have had my own challenges this year & all I do is think of the bravery if Iranians & I know I can handle anything that is thrown at me. I am going back to my day shift soon, looking forward to spending more time tweeting amongst the strong & gentle hearts on #iranelection - I went to the laundry mat today to wash clothes, I brought with me a Time magazine-their special double issue of the 100 most influential people in the world...it was folded to the picture of Mousavi speaking to his supporters & had other pictures of the protests. After I got my machines started I sat down & there on the table in front of me there was an issue of the Wall Street Journal from June 17,2009-Iranian protesters all over the front page & more of the same on a page inside-wow-deja vu for sure. All of the articles were full of vivid descriptions of the strife, personal stories of suffering, yet all of them were full of hope & very oriented to what would happen in the future...well the future is a year closer now-there is still dirty laundry to be cleaned out of Iran-onward & upward!

Iran
I knew many many years ago that Iran's people were mostly under 30 & with that knowledge I knew eventually Iran's people would demand & expect more from their government than their government would be willing to give. Therefore problems would ensue to say the least-young people have so much energy they really do run the world. So now here we are...Iran's government has perpetrated a false election & refuses to take responsibility-what harm would a new election do other than satisfy the people? Perhaps the results would be something the present government would not be able to deal with-I am sure amahdinejad is easy to manipulate-he looks so stupid & says many stupid things,it insults the people he is supposed to represent. I was thrilled to see the millions that turned out to protest this so-called election which was such a disrespect & snub to the Iranian people-silent protest, non-violent protest, righteous protest- & then nothing but murder & torture & imprisonment & fear mongering & blame on everyone & everything that was not the Iran government-this regime makes me sick. Then amahdenijad calling the people dust...yeah,right. He is a fool for sure. I do not care whether Iran has nukes or not-it is ridiculous to try to control something like that anyway & no country has a right to dictate to any other country at all...so there. I do not care about religion either-that is a personal choice- But the Iran people must have basic human rights to govern themselves, to speak freely, & be able to raise their children in an atmosphere of security & safety. I am only an outsider & realize I can do nothing but talk & so will continue to do that-I so so so support the Iran people to have what THEY want-that's all I wanted to say right now, I am real busy tweeting so my blog is being put aside a bit-ah well.

A TRIBUTE
My stepson, travis died early thursday morning, he was drunk & sitting on a train track-he was 31 years old & it was his niece's 2nd birthday. He leaves behind 2 beautiful young sons. his wife, a sister, 2 brothers, mother, & stepfather, all of whom loved him dearly. He was a good boy, he always tried to do the right thing. He was a loving father. I liked him very much. I will always remember him as a kind & sweet soul-oh, travis I am so sorry you are gone-you will be missed until we are gone too & everyone meets at the clearing at the end of the path.

Finally
Well-finally I have come back to post-cant believe its been so long but I got swept away with so many others being totally engrossed in the election-what miracles have been wrought, what wonders we have seen-President Barack Obama-I dont think life could be any more delicious as it is now-I have not been so inspired by an individual since Robert Kennedy-what a thrill it is to be part of history-I love it so much-and this country-what a country-I am so proud-2009 is gonna be fine-oh yes. This new President talks to the American people with intelligence, actually assuming we can understand complex ideas-what a concept! Tonight I see Bill Cosby bantering with the Mayor of DC-so cool-the Inauguration Balls- what WILL Michelle wear?? I cannot waite to see her in another beautiful dress. And what will the girls wear? 3 million people expected on the Plaza when he takes his Oath-wow. I will be wearing my ObamaMama t-shirt of course-heh-
